Coastal Futures

Sustainable Development is at the very heart of Coastal Futures. The project supports schools in exploring how they can become more sustainable places through their own actions in the areas of food and drink, energy and water, travel and traffic, purchasing and waste, buildings and grounds, inclusion and participation, local well-being and global dimensions.

The two main aims/objectives of the project are:

• To give teachers in the Norfolk Coast AONB area an opportunity to explore what sustainability means in a school setting.
• To give young people living in the AONB a first hand experience in their local environment that stimulates future action in their own community.
